Deer

  Deer are the hoofed ruminant mammals forming the family CervidaeDeer live in a variety of biomes, ranging from tundra to the tropical rainforest. One charateristics of the deer is the presence of antlers, and not antlers, which are bone growththat develops every year especially in male deer. There are about 34 species of deer throughout the world which are divided into two major groups.

Class : Mammalia
Order : Artiodactyla
Infraorder : Pecora
Family : Cervidae

Deer Fun Facts:
Male deer grow new antlers each year.
They can jump high and swim well.
Deer take their first steps within half an hour of their birth.
